The Animal Rescue Association was founded by Zekiye Taş Köklü and Fahir Köklü, who have made it their mission to help stray animals for more than 20 years.
As a civil servant, Zekiye Taş Köklü serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Animal Rescue Association. Fahir Köklü is the Vice Chairman of the Animal Rescue Association Board of Directors.
In addition to academicians, artists, and other professionals, there are also three veterinarians within the Animal Rescue Association team. Our veterinarian members can go to the scene in emergency situations and intervene immediately for our stray friends waiting for help. The veterinary services of municipalities are insufficient in traffic accidents and many similar cases. There is only one municipality that provides services for stray animals, especially after working hours. Municipal veterinary units, where basic services such as sterilization and vaccination are provided, do not have the technical equipment to perform operations such as fracture surgeries.
Many of our citizens apply to the nearest municipality for help when they see a stray animal that has had an accident on the street. Municipalities that do not have the means to help within their capacity are often obliged to give a negative response to these applications. In cases where municipal veterinary services are insufficient, applying to private veterinary clinics is beyond the budget for most people.
The Animal Rescue Association is organized in such a way as to step in, especially in such cases, and carry out the treatment process of the animal in question from beginning to end. The Animal Rescue Association, which has the opportunity to respond in the most rational and fastest way to the calls for help made to the contact number, which can be reached at any time of the day, has reached our friends who are waiting for emergency help from all districts of Ankara and have them treated, both through the devoted efforts of its members and its followers on social networking sites.
